Ovoli Romero Abogados, through its Arbitration Department led by partner Nazareth Romero, is proud to play a leading role in the organisation and development of the event “Domestic Arbitration in Real Estate Matters: Comparative Law Perspective,” taking place on 10 April 2026 in Madrid. Held within the framework of the ICCA Congress 2026, this initiative reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to advancing arbitration and effective prevention on dispute resolution.

Nazareth Romero, Chair of the Iberian Chapter of CIArb’s European Branch, will actively contribute to the programme as moderator of a key round table on dispute prevention and mitigation in real estate, energy, and infrastructure projects. Her leadership underscores the firm’s recognised expertise in complex, cross-border arbitration matters.

The event will bring together leading policymakers, arbitrators, and legal practitioners to explore the growing relevance of domestic arbitration in real estate disputes, with a strong comparative and international perspective.

Through this initiative, Ovoli Romero Abogados reinforces its position as a key actor in the arbitration community, promoting dialogue, innovation, and best practices while strengthening Madrid’s role as a global hub for dispute resolution. The programme features opening remarks from prominent institutional representatives, followed by two in-depth round tables. The first will explore the role of the Arbitration Council of the Community of Madrid in promoting domestic arbitration, while the second will focus on dispute prevention and mitigation in real estate, energy, and infrastructure projects from a global perspective.

The event convenes a distinguished panel of international experts and institutional leaders in arbitration and dispute resolution. Featured speakers include José María García Gómez, Vice-Minister for Housing, Transport and Infrastructure; César Pereira, President of CIArb; and Phillip Landolt, Chair of the European Branch.

They are joined by Nazareth Romero, Chair of the Iberian Chapter and partner at Ovoli Romero Abogados, alongside key practitioners such as Beatriz Moreno, Juan Ramón Montero, Jaime Cabrero García, and Marcelino Pajares.

The second panel brings global perspectives from Man Sing Yeung, Mark Appel, Yolanda García Rubio, and Olusola Adegbonmire, offering valuable insights into arbitration and dispute prevention across sectors.

Together, these experts will share insights on arbitration, dispute prevention, and sector-specific challenges across real estate, infrastructure, and energy.

Hosted at the headquarters of the Community of Madrid, this event highlights Madrid’s position as a key hub for arbitration and dispute resolution, fostering dialogue on innovative approaches and best practices in the field.
